Last updated: 15 August 2026

NanoBooks (“we”, “us”) is billing and invoicing software for small businesses, currently operated as a solo-founder project. This page explains what we collect and why, in plain language.

What we collect

  • Your email address or phone number, used to sign in (one-time code, no password stored).
  • Your business details you enter yourself — shop name, GSTIN if you provide one, address.
  • Your customers’ details you enter — name, phone number, invoice history — used only to generate and send invoices on your behalf.
  • Basic technical logs (error reports) to fix bugs, if error tracking is enabled.

How your data is kept separate

Every business on NanoBooks is isolated at the database level from every other business — your invoices, customers, and balances are never visible to another shop using the app, and no shop can query or export another shop’s data through the product.

How we use it

Solely to run the product for you: authenticating you, generating your invoices, sending WhatsApp messages you trigger, and calculating GST. We do not sell your data or your customers’ data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Third parties we use

  • Cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud) to host the app and database.
  • WhatsApp Business Cloud API, only when you choose to send a message.
  • Razorpay, only if and when you subscribe to a paid plan in the future.

Your rights

You can ask us to export or delete your account’s data at any time by writing to the email below. We will respond directly — there is no support queue yet, just a person reading the inbox.
